How it fits

Cole Haan sizes by foot length: trace your foot, measure from your heel to the tip of your longest toe in centimeters, then find the closest length on the chart.

For width, measure the widest part of your forefoot in millimeters and find the closest width for your size.

Between sizes

Between sizes? Size up if you wear thick socks or orthotics, or you're on your feet all day. Choose the smaller size if you like a snug fit.

Forefoot widths are Cole Haan’s, rounded to the nearest millimeter. Cole Haan’s women’s width chart runs 5–11½. We carry Medium (M) and Wide (W) in select styles; the widths for each style are shown in our size picker.

Cole Haan’s charts put a women’s size ½ size above the men’s size for the same foot length (women’s 9 and men’s 8½ are both 26 cm).

How to measure

  1. Stand on a sheet of paper, with your weight on that foot.
  2. Mark the back of your heel and the tip of your longest toe.
  3. Measure between the marks in inches or centimeters.
  4. Measure both feet and use the longer one.
  5. Measure later in the day, when feet are at their largest, wearing the socks you’ll wear with the shoes.
