UGG Size & Fit Guide

Most styles true to size · Classic boots & slippers have a relaxed fit · Many styles in whole sizes only

Find your UGG size with UGG’s official women’s, men’s and kids’ charts, plus fit notes for Classic boots, Tasman, slippers and sneakers — or stop in for a fitting at our Kettering, Ohio store.

How it fits

According to UGG, most UGG shoes run true to size, but Classic boots and many slippers are made with a relaxed, comfort fit and can feel roomier than athletic or dress shoes. Sandals and sneakers fit closer.

Sheepskin-lined styles can feel snug at first. After a few wears the lining softens and compresses for a more personal fit.

Whole sizes: many UGG styles are made in whole sizes only. If you usually wear a half size, UGG suggests the nearest whole size you normally gravitate toward.

Between sizes

Between sizes? Size up if you wear thick socks or orthotics, or you're on your feet all day. Choose the smaller size if you like a snug fit. UGG notes many styles are designed to be worn barefoot, so you only need extra room if thicker socks are your regular choice.

Growing room (kids)

How much room? About a thumb’s width at the toe — roughly ½ inch (1 to 1.5 cm) between the longest toe and the end of the shoe. Toes should wiggle freely without the foot sliding forward.

Thumb test: with your child standing, press the tip of your thumb down at the front of the shoe. You should be able to press down without hitting a toe.

Between sizes or one foot bigger than the other? Choose the bigger size. Kids’ feet can grow quickly, so re-measure about every two months.

Time for a bigger size if toes are pressed against the front, the shoe leaves deep marks or blisters, or your child says their feet hurt. Too big if their heel lifts out when walking, or they trip or drag their feet.

How to measure

  1. Draw a straight line longer than your foot on a sheet of paper and stand on it, heel and longest toe centered on the line.
  2. Mark the back of your heel and the tip of your longest toe, then measure between the marks.
  3. Measure both feet and use the longer one. Measure in the afternoon, standing, when feet are largest.
  4. Width: measure across the ball of your foot, from just below the big-toe joint to the outside below the base of the little toe, and compare it to the wide chart.
