The 1080v15 Breathe is the warm-weather version of New Balance's flagship cushioned trainer. The Breathe upper is a highly perforated dual-layer engineered mesh built to move air, and that ventilation is the whole difference between this and the standard 1080v15.

Fit and Construction

  • New Balance lists the stack at 39.5mm in the heel and 33.5mm in the forefoot, a 6mm drop
  • Infinion midsole, New Balance's new foam, which they say resists compression better than traditional EVA across high mileage
  • Rocker geometry to guide the foot through each landing
  • Perforated dual-layer engineered mesh upper in white with pink and tangerine accents
  • Around 261 grams, so light for a shoe with this much foam
  • Removable insole
  • Widths D and 2E, sizes 7 through 16

  • Neutral gait. There is no medial post here, so if you overpronate, look at the 860v15 instead
  • Summer running and humid days, where the ventilated upper earns its name
